We went to see her last year at the facility where she was staying and it was very difficult for all of us, but especially for Cody. He grew up at her house and with her taking care of their family. She was the glue that held them all together and it was so hard to see her like that. We got to see many of his cousins that we hadn't seen for a while at the funeral and it was nice to have the family all together, especially over Christmas. Christmas was Grandma Powell's favorite holiday and she would've loved that we were all together. It's hard to see those we love getting older and we're all going to miss her terribly. She was a huge part of this family and her sunny disposition will be remembered and missed. She was the very happiest when she was taking care of someone and she continued to take care of the people who lived in the Alzheimer's Unit with her. I'm sure she's happy to be reunited with Cody's grandpa but we'll sure miss her!
