Easter

We had such a fun Easter this year. We started with an Easter Egg Hunt with the neighborhood. It was a really fun day and our neighbor, Liberty put on quite the event. They had Easter egg hunts for all different age groups, prizes, pony rides, jump houses, Rock Band, etc, etc. It was such a great time for the kids and we even got into the games. I tried the potato sack race and halfway through, my foot came out the bottom and tripped me. If you'll look at the picture below, me and DJ Risk fell at exactly the same time and Cody got each phase of our fall with the camera. We were laughing so hard. The kids had a great time and a wonderful way to start off the weekend!



We decorated Easter Eggs at Grandma Vera's on Saturday night. We had so much fun because Misti & her kids came down for Easter this year. We love having them here and it's like we get such a great visit because we can just focus entirely on them. That's why it's so fun to have visitors here....we put our lives on hold and just enjoy the time with them. We just wish more of our family would take us up on this opportunity. :) The kids had a great time decorating and of course, Grandma goes all out and we had more than enough eggs for everyone.




We had a delicious Easter dinner on Easter Sunday at Grandma's. We had Misti & kids, Jim & Judy and their kids and Grandma Vera & Jack. It was such a beautiful afternoon and an exciting thing about it was the Earthquake....all of a sudden, the whole house started to vibrate and then sway. The lights were swinging and the water in the pool was splashing over the side. That was definitely the biggest earthquake we've had since we've lived here and I definitely wouldn't mind missing the next one. AHHH!! The one good thing was at least we were all together....I guess if it's going to happen, it would be the best to be with our family and at least be able to take care of each other. What a beautiful Easter day with a little excitement thrown in as well. Loved being able to spend such a special day with our family!
